Newaygo State Park is a 257 acre (1.04 km²) state park in the U.S. state of Michigan. The park is located in Big Prairie Township, Newaygo County, Michigan on the south side of the Hardy Dam Pond. The park has 99 rustic campground sites, which sits atop 20-foot (6.1 m) embankments overlooking the 4,000-acre (16 km2) Hardy Dam Pond, a six-mile (10 km) flooding of the Muskegon River. The park caters primarily to campers, anglers and recreational boaters. There are several picnic sites overlooking the reservoir for day users. The campground is nestled in oak and poplar forests and is noted for its large, private sites and scenic beauty. There is a 20-30 foot forested buffer between sites, and each site is provided with a picnic table and a fire ring.
Other nearby parks include Newaygo County's Sandy Beach Park, Big Prairie Township's Ox Bow Park, Big Bend Park, and Mecosta County's Brower Park.
